Washington Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is now accepting applications for the upcoming Personal Care Assistants (PCA) class that will begin on April 29, 2024.

If you would like to begin your journey in healthcare, our team at Washington Rehabilitation & Nursing Center invites you to join our community that is making a difference and changing lives every day.

This is a 4- month program that offers classroom prep and hands-on experience that will equip you to Demonstrate the Skills Competency with the State of Florida Board of Nursing and to sit for your state Board's CNA exam. You will be responsible for Certified Nursing Exam Cost.

Once completed, you will obtain your certification and continue employment as a "Certified Nursing Assistant" (CNA)

  • We are offering Full-Time positions only as a Personal Care Assistant (PCA)
  • Classroom learning and On the Job training with our CNAs, LPNs and RNs
  • We will pay for the 40-hour PCA course and you will be able to work up to 120 days as a Personal Care Assistant (PCA)

Responsibilities of a Personal Care Assistant (PCA)

Provide caregiver services to residents and patients in a skilled facility while participating in an on-the-job-training program.

  • Pass water, ice and meal trays
  • Make beds
  • Turn and reposition
  • Bathe
  • Dress/Undress
  • Take Vital Signs
  • Transfers
  • Much More

Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be willing to complete the required classroom modules and on the job training as required by the state within 4 months from the date of hire.
